Good Energy: Live Music Photography in Print

A live photograph can show you something you might never have noticed from the audience. The view from behind a performer, the sheer size of a festival crowd, or the moment a musician leaves the stage and becomes part of it. These are the perspectives at the heart of Good Energy, Teenage Cancer Trust's collection of original music photography.

The series brings together work by photographers documenting performances across different venues, festivals and musical genres. Each image is selected for a collection exploring the relationship between musicians and their audiences, with the original photography reproduced as limited-edition artwork.

The Photographers Behind Good Energy

The person behind the camera matters just as much as the musician in front of it.

Photographers including Jordan Curtis Hughes, Sacha Lecca, Peter Neill, Emily Chase and Charlie Barclay-Harris have contributed images to the series, bringing their individual approaches to live music photography. The collection spans everything from intimate venues to major arenas and outdoor festivals, with each photograph offering a particular perspective on the performance.

There are also the series' own title artworks, Good Energy I and Good Energy II, combining photography by Andy Paradise and Andy Ford respectively with handmade fluorescent typography by Ben Beach. These pieces take the original photographs into a different area of graphic art, combining photographic imagery with bold lettering and traditional printmaking.

Limited Edition Music Photography and Signed Prints

Good Energy isn't simply a collection of photographs reproduced on paper. The printing is an important part of the finished artwork.

The series includes multi-layer silk screen prints produced by White Duck Editions in Bath, translating original concert photography into collectable editions. The title artworks also incorporate letterpress typography, bringing another technique into the collection.

Many editions are individually signed by the featured musicians, while the series' title artworks offer a different way to collect Good Energy. Individual product pages provide details of the photographer, printing method, edition size and signatures where applicable.

Explore the Good Energy collection and discover original concert photography celebrating the performers, photographers and audiences who make live music what it is.
