Frank Carter & Sex Pistols Royal Albert Hall 2025 Signed Photographic Print

$76.00

Frank Carter, airborne above a packed Royal Albert Hall crowd. Photographed by Andy Paradise during one of the most explosive nights of Teenage Cancer Trust's 2025 concert series, this limited-edition Good Energy print is individually hand signed by Frank Carter.

On 24 March 2025, Carter joined Paul Cook, Steve Jones and Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols at the Royal Albert Hall, bringing together three members of one of punk's most influential bands with a frontman from a later generation. The collaboration had begun with a run of shows in 2024, with Carter taking on songs from the Sex Pistols catalogue while very much performing them in his own way.

At the Royal Albert Hall they tore through Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols, including Holidays in the Sun, Pretty Vacant, Bodies, God Save the Queen and Anarchy in the UK. Circle pits and crowd-surfing ran throughout the night, with Carter repeatedly leaving the stage and throwing himself into the audience.

Andy Paradise catches one of those moments at its peak. Carter is horizontal above the crowd, microphone still in hand and supported by a mass of outstretched arms beneath him. Shot in black and white, the photograph is filled almost entirely by people: hands reaching upwards, faces looking towards Carter and phones appearing between them as the moment unfolds.

It's difficult to imagine a more literal example of what Good Energy sets out to capture. There is no meaningful boundary between artist and audience here. Carter has left the stage behind and entrusted himself completely to the people watching him.

Paradise is a UK-based music photographer whose work focuses heavily on live performance and the relationship between musicians and their audiences. Here, his position within the crowd puts him close enough to Carter to capture the chaos without losing the surrounding faces and hands that make the photograph work.

The image has been reproduced by White Duck Editions in Bath as a five-layer silk screen print on 350gsm stock. At A2 size, the landscape format gives the photograph room to spread across the page, while the monochrome treatment emphasises Carter's dark suit against the hands supporting him below.

Limited to 100 copies, each print is individually hand signed by Frank Carter and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
