The Big Moon Autographed Photographic Print

$76.00

Captured by photographer Aaron Parsons at London's Union Chapel, this limited-edition print puts you on stage with The Big Moon, looking out across a packed audience inside one of the capital's most distinctive live music venues.

Formed in London, The Big Moon have built a reputation for intelligent, melodic indie rock and the chemistry between the four members. Their Mercury Prize-nominated debut Love in the 4th Dimension arrived in 2017, followed by Walking Like We Do and Here Is Everything, establishing a catalogue that can move from sharp guitar pop to something altogether more intimate.

Parsons photographs the show from behind the band, turning the usual perspective of a live photograph around. The stage fills the foreground, the drummer raises her sticks in the air, and beyond the band a packed Union Chapel audience stretches up into the venue's balcony. The chapel itself is unmistakably part of the picture too, its arches and ornate pulpit framing the scene.

It's that perspective that makes the photograph such a natural fit for Good Energy, our series celebrating the connection between artists and audiences during live music. Rather than watching the performance from the crowd, we're seeing the room from the band's point of view, with the audience, performers and venue brought together in the same moment.

Behind the camera is Aaron Parsons, a music photographer whose work ranges from intimate venues to major festivals and arenas. A regular contributor to Rolling Stone UK and The Guardian, his portfolio includes artists such as Arctic Monkeys, IDLES, Self Esteem and The Big Moon.

The photograph has been recreated as an A2 five-layer silk screen print on heavyweight 350gsm stock by White Duck Editions in Bath, giving the black-and-white image a physical, tactile quality that complements the detail and atmosphere of the original photograph.

Only 100 prints have been produced, each individually hand signed by The Big Moon and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
