There really wasn't another footballer quite like Peter Crouch. At 6ft 7in he was inevitably known for his height, but reducing his game to that misses much of what made him such a memorable striker. Excellent touch, clever movement and a knack for the spectacular made Crouch a genuine one-off, while a certain goal celebration made him even harder to forget.

Crouch represented England 42 times, scoring 22 goals and appearing at both the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups. His international record of better than a goal every two games included his first competitive England goal against Trinidad and Tobago at the 2006 World Cup, during a period in which he established himself as a regular part of the national side.

At club level, his career took him from QPR and Aston Villa through Southampton, Liverpool, Portsmouth, Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City before finishing at Burnley. His three seasons at Liverpool produced 42 goals in 134 appearances and an FA Cup winner's medal in 2006. Among them were some unforgettable finishes, including his acrobatic strike against Galatasaray in the Champions League and a perfect left foot, right foot and header hat-trick against Arsenal.

But Crouch also became part of football culture for something rather less conventional. After performing the robot while celebrating an England goal against Hungary ahead of the 2006 World Cup, the dance became permanently associated with him.

Designer Ben Beach puts that unmistakable celebration at the centre of this original artwork. Crouch's silhouette performs the robot across an enormous number nine, surrounded by bold typography, geometric forms and football-inspired graphics. The design has the feel of a larger-than-life football card, celebrating both the goalscorer and the personality that made Crouch such a popular figure in the game.

Printed on 270gsm holographic rainbow foil stock, the surface moves through different metallic colours as it catches the light. Beach's predominantly black linework creates a strong contrast against the holographic paper, making the oversized number and robot silhouette particularly prominent as the colours beneath them shift.

The edition is limited to just 100 copies, with each print individually hand signed by Peter Crouch and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
