Paul Scholes Autographed Print

Paul Scholes. Number 18. One club.

A key figure in one of the most successful periods in Manchester United's history, Scholes combined extraordinary technique and passing ability with a habit of scoring goals from places midfielders had no business scoring from. This limited-edition Fantasy Football print by Ben Beach celebrates his career, with each of the 100 copies individually hand signed by Scholes.

Part of Manchester United's celebrated Class of '92, Scholes made his first-team debut in 1994 and went on to make 718 appearances and score 155 goals for the club. His career spanned almost two decades and included 11 Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues and three FA Cups, as well as the historic Treble in 1999.

There were spectacular goals along the way, but Scholes' reputation was built just as much on the way he controlled matches. Whether playing behind the forwards early in his career or dictating play from deeper positions later on, his range of passing, first touch and ability to find space made him one of the defining midfielders of the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Ben Beach puts Scholes' Manchester United number at the centre of the artwork. A huge 18 fills most of the print, with SCHOLES stretched across the top and a silhouetted footballer cutting across the numerals. Halftone patterns, footballs and angular pitch markings surround the central design, giving the piece the oversized, graphic quality that runs through Teenage Cancer Trust's Fantasy Football series.

The artwork is printed on 270gsm holographic rainbow foil stock, so the background changes dramatically with its surroundings. Depending on the light and viewing angle, the metallic surface moves through blues, greens, pinks, oranges and golds beneath Beach's heavy black linework. It's an effect that can't really be captured by a single photograph and makes the physical print much more striking in person.

Limited to 100 copies, each print is individually hand signed by Paul Scholes and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.

Created for Teenage Cancer Trust's Fantasy Football series, the print brings together original artwork and the signature of a player who spent his entire professional career at Manchester United.
