This limited-edition print brings together Gojira drummer Mario Duplantier and renowned graphic artist Anthony Burrill, transforming one of Mario's favourite drum rudiments into a bold piece of typographic art.

The repeated Droite! Droite! Gauche! Gauche! translates as Right! Right! Left! Left!, representing the sticking pattern at the heart of the rudiment. It's a fitting choice for a drummer whose playing combines extraordinary technical precision with groove, power and creativity.

As drummer and co-founder of Gojira, Mario Duplantier has become one of the most respected drummers in modern metal. His distinctive playing is fundamental to the band's sound, moving effortlessly between intricate rhythmic patterns, explosive power and more subtle, dynamic playing. Rudiments have remained an important part of his technique throughout his career, with Mario previously speaking about practising them regularly and using exercises as the starting point for some of Gojira's drum patterns.

The artwork has been created by Anthony Burrill, a British graphic artist known internationally for his bold typography and direct use of language. His work combines traditional printmaking with simple, powerful ideas and can be found in the permanent collections of institutions including the V&A, The Design Museum in London and Cooper Hewitt in New York.

Burrill’s approach feels particularly at home here. Stripped back to four repeated words, Mario's drum pattern becomes something visual: rhythmic, immediate and unmistakably Burrill. The print has been screen printed on Shiro Echo 200gsm paper and is individually signed by both Mario Duplantier and Anthony Burrill.

Only 100 copies have been produced, making this a unique meeting of music, drumming and contemporary graphic art, created in support of Teenage Cancer Trust.
