Built around a line from Reef’s 1995 song Good Feeling, this limited-edition print by British artist Adam Bridgland turns a lyric into something bold, direct and tactile. The phrase “Got This Good Feeling In Me” fills the page in loose handwritten lettering, set against a dense glitter field that gives the work far more physical presence than a flat typographic print.

The wording comes from Good Feeling, an early Reef single released in 1995 and included on the band’s debut album Replenish. The track reached number 24 on the UK Singles Chart and captures the rawer, groove-heavy side of the band before the huge success of Place Your Hands the following year.

For this collaboration, Bridgland lifts one of the song’s simplest and most affirmative lines and lets it stand on its own. The lettering feels immediate and personal, while the glitter surface changes the character of the piece depending on the light. The phrase is upbeat without becoming sentimental, which makes it work just as well as a piece of graphic art as it does as a Reef collectible.

Adam Bridgland has built much of his practice around language, memory and familiar fragments of British culture. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, his work often combines text with printmaking techniques, turning everyday phrases, recollections and cultural references into highly graphic editions. His work is held in collections including the V&A, the Royal College of Art and the BBC.

Reef themselves emerged from Somerset in the mid-1990s with a sound rooted in rock, funk and blues. Frontman Gary Stringer and bassist Jack Bessant remain central to the band, whose catalogue includes Good Feeling, Naked, Come Back Brighter and the enduring Place Your Hands, which reached number six in the UK.

The edition was produced in two colourways, blue and orange, with just 50 prints made in each. Each is a hand-crafted single-colour and glitter screen print on heavyweight Somerset Satin 300gsm stock and is signed by both Reef and Adam Bridgland.
