Kelly Smith Autographed Print

One of the finest footballers England has produced, Kelly Smith MBE helped change expectations of what was possible for English women's football, both at home and on the international stage.

Smith made her England debut in 1995 and went on to score 46 goals in 117 appearances, becoming the Lionesses' all-time leading goalscorer before the record eventually passed to Ellen White in 2021. A gifted and creative forward with a famously strong left foot, she represented England at four European Championships and two World Cups during an international career spanning almost two decades.

Her club career took her to the United States at a time when opportunities to play professional women's football in England were extremely limited, but Smith is perhaps most closely associated with Arsenal. She was part of the extraordinary 2006/07 side that won every major competition available to them, including the UEFA Women's Cup, making Arsenal the first British women's team to become European champions. Smith was also named the league's Players' Player of the Year that season.

Designed by Ben Beach, the print puts Smith's famous number 10 at the heart of the artwork, incorporating a footballer silhouette into the oversized typography and surrounding it with bold geometric shapes and halftone detailing.

It's printed on 270gsm holographic rainbow foil stock, allowing different colours to move through the background as the light and viewing angle change. Against Beach's predominantly black linework, the reflective surface becomes part of the artwork itself and gives the physical print an impact that's difficult to capture in a flat image.

Created as part of Teenage Cancer Trust's Fantasy Football series, the edition is limited to just 100 prints, each individually hand signed by Kelly Smith and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
