Elbow Autographed Print
Created for Elbow's first-ever performance at the Royal Albert Hall on 23 March 2026, this limited-edition artwork by Andy Vella is individually hand signed by the band and limited to just 100 prints.
Despite a career stretching back more than three decades, the band had never previously played the Royal Albert Hall. Elbow opened the 2026 week of Teenage Cancer Trust concerts, performing with special guests MRCY as part of a seven-night programme curated by Robert Smith of The Cure. The week brought together Elbow, Mogwai, Manic Street Preachers, My Bloody Valentine, Garbage and Wolf Alice, alongside a night of comedy and a host of special guests.
Andy Vella created the visual identity for the entire 2026 concert series, drawing on photocopied imagery, collage, distressed typography and fragments of the Royal Albert Hall itself. Each artist was then given an individual artwork inspired by their music, with Vella describing the project as an opportunity to listen to the bands and respond freely to their sound.
For Elbow, he built the composition around a huge circular form, layering orange, yellow and black marks with fine geometric lines and fragmented imagery. The band's name sits in oversized black type across the bottom, while the concert date stretches across the top. Look more closely and the structure becomes increasingly intricate, with repeated shapes radiating from the centre and the Royal Albert Hall emerging through the darker background.
There's also a direct connection between the materials and the band. Vella chose black enamel gloss specifically to reflect what he described as the equilibrium of Guy Garvey's voice. The resulting high-gloss areas contrast with the matt paper beneath, adding another dimension to the artwork as light moves across its surface.
The design has been produced by White Duck Editions in Bath as a seven-colour silkscreen on 300gsm Arctic Matt paper, finished with high-gloss spot varnish. Each A2 print is individually hand signed by Elbow, numbered from an edition of only 100 and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
It forms part of Teenage Cancer Trust's continuing Royal Albert Hall poster series, documenting a concert programme that has now passed 150 shows and raised more than £36 million since beginning in 2000.
